Posted: 05/29/06 - 19:30 Post subject: Rochester is burning, good vibes needed
The Med-City Marathon in Rochester MN was shut down at the 4:30 mark and runners were ordered off the course after temps hit 98 degrees. More than 20 runners needed IVs and several were taken to hospitals. Coolrunner Aamos is home safe and has filed a report at the "other" site, but Riffraffer PUG is still MIA

Correction. PUG is safe and sound. I see he has posted in the "good volunteers" thread.
Edit: and posted his story in the training tales forum.

We really needs to be checkin "Training Tales and Race Reports" a l'il bit sooner, huh?
I was hot. And the weather was a little warm, too.
Thanks for the good vibes, though. It's been a brutal weekend with the weather. Us Minnesota folks aren't supposed to get upper 90's in May. To make things fun, after arriving home sunday afternoon to 97 degree temps in Bloomington we lost power after an hour or two until 8:45 in the morn and then power again this afternoon for another hour.
