Got my first one yesterday morning. Some assclown cut me off and my right pedal clipped the curb and I did a 360 off the bike. Checked myself and everything appeared okay. Got home where it was more light and when I took my sock off, the whole top part was bloody. Washed it out pretty good, prolly could have used 3 or 4 stitches, but I decided not too.

Need to replace the tire on the bike, scraping the curb did a lot of damage. LBS is tuning it up, and told me everything else is okay.

I don't know how the driver did not see me, I had my vest on, blinkie light clipped to my shorts, and I was in a pretty well lit area.

Could have been worse though. Wasn't able to get a good ID on the driver or the car, so I didn't bother calling local PD.

Be careful out there Cappy. When I get back in to work, I'll post a few links about riding in traffic and what one can do to maximize visiblity.

hehe, I just sold the one I have. . It was a blue strobe with a choice of 140/280/700 flashes per minute. Blue is supossed to be the best light for being seen at night

Ouch! I am glad to hear that you are okay. If you had done a header of the handlebars then you are pretty luck to only have some scratches and bruises as the result.

Cappy, be careful. Goodness. It seems auto drivers sometimes see the biker as some kind of threat and decides to challenge....not that there is a slight weight difference between a car and a bike! Evil or Very Mad Makes me Evil or Very Mad Glad you're ok.
