NO! I am trying to get everyone to do the San Diego Marathon in January!
It's not going very well though.
I am thinking about maybe doing the half for this race. One of my best friends lives out there and so I know the area pretty well (which makes it more fun, I think). I have to confess I was pretty smitten with the course map too.
I will let you know.

I'm flying out on Saturday, doing the race Sunday and flying back that evening. At least on Monday I don't have students (it is just a teacher records day).
Will the RR gang be meeting up at all?

Tight schedule! Will you be in early enough to get your race packet?
Should try to put together a RR & CR meet for a beer/soda/water.

I don't know any CR people. I'll bring along the digital camera if we do meet.
I'm planning on flying out Saturday morning so that I get there early. I wanted to do a short run Saturday either late in the morning or early afternoon. Maybe I should fly out Friday anyway. I'll see as we get closer. I just have to get back to Indiana by Sunday night.

The race finish is about 3 miles from the airport. So that should be no problem.
There's a topic RnR AZ on the Cool Running site that may generate some interest in a pre race get together.

Hey all,
I'm going to run the full.
I'm meeting with a group running for Childhelp-USA tommorrow morning(if I can get some gas ) to see if I will be running with their group.
Is anyone running with this group? They are meeting at Granada Park in Central Phoenix at 6:30am Aug. 23rd.
My official training starts on Sept. 22nd and I'll be following Bob Glover's training schedule.
Lets try and get a group of us together for some runs this fall.
I live in the east valley and have some nice places to run out here or South Mtn. is always fun.

I've heard that the SD marathon in Jan. is a good race but very hilly.
I'm sure you will not have a problem getting runners do enter the race. San Diego is a beautiful city.
