Awesome! What a great thing to do to celebrate.
I'm doing the half as well.

That is awesome that you quit smoking!!!! My hubby just put on the patch today and I hope and pray he quits for good this time.
Running is a great way to change your lifestyle from smoking to being healthy. Maybe, someday I'll get my hubby to run.

Yes, I do run at Granda Park with the Childhelp group. There are lots of groups out there. We usually run starting at 6am.
I will be going out with EVR on some Saturdays.

Did you all get your AZ RnR info sent to you in the mail last week? I received mine. It looks like they are pretty organized.
BTW: It's getting cooler out. Yeah!!!

Are we going to try and get togethr before the race somewhere? somehow?

Hey everyone,
Well, I've been having IT problems since my last 15 mile run 10/18 and I'm seeing a PT and taking it easy for a couple of weeks hoping this will go away. If I need more then 2 weeks, I'll be running the half marathon.
I say we should meet up and run early, like 6am. I have some great runs with Val Vista Lakes, the canal .5 miles from my house and this great desert trail right by the library on Greenfield/Guadalupe.
Let's just set a date in Nov and meet up for a nice run and maybe some java afterwards!
Anyone running the New Times 10k?

I am running New Times 10K. Have no idea how I will do but I am doing it.
I also vote for hooking up at the Greenfield/Guadalupe Canal (Riperian Water Preserve)

What time is good for ya'll?
I'm a morning runner and like to get started by 6:30 or 7am.
In the month of Nov. I'm planning to run long on Saturdays(6am) and I'm working most wed, thurs, and Fridays so basically:
Mondays or Tuesdays are good for me.
Let me know.

Hello Phoenix Mafia,
I went out for 9 miles yesterday and my IT flared up by mile 4, I pushed through to finish out the 9 but I was in some serious pain.
The full marathon is out for me. I'm going to take it easy, visit my PT twice a week and shoot for the half marathon.
Hopefully, I will be able to get a few long runs in by the end of Nov. begining of Dec. to run in the half.
LM

I would love to run with you but I have to take it easy this week and after last Sundays painful run, I won't be running more then 3 or 4 miles until this injury heals. I hope soon, so I can run the half.
I'll keep you posted on my progress. I'm going to see the Sports Doc. on Thursday and they might schedule an MRI to look and see what's going on.

Wow LM!
I'm sorry to hear about this setback. Hopefully you'll get some encouraging news after your appointment on Thursday.
We have two more Swim Meets here with my daughter coming up (Saturday's). Perhaps I can get a run in with ya after swimming is over? I need to get outside and run. Saturday's would work for me with my husband being home.
Let me know.

Weird, so do I. Small world. But that is a very nice (and soft) stretch to run.
