How's your training coming along for the AZ RnR?
I am going to start meeting up with the AZ Roadsters soon at the track in Gilbert soon. Have you ever heard of the group? I have to get off the treadmill and do some outside work. Who'll watch the kids? Not sure? They say that other's bring their kids. But all my mind keeps thinking is how I'll be pulling my son off the bleechers the entire time. He's just all over the place and loves to climb.
How will I ever do it?
How will I ever get my biking in once I start that part of the tri training. Spinning classes at 5am (Mountainside Gym).
Enough rambling. Let me know how you are doing.

Hello Marcie,
Are you talking about the east valley runners club?
They run long on Saturdays and track on Wednesday nights.
How old are your children?
I know what you mean about the treadmill. When my husband is at work I can take Savannah to the childcare center ( she is 6 months old).
I've been running with 1st marathon group on Saturday mornings.
I really am looking forward to the ending of this hot weather.
Are you running the full or the half?

Hey there.
That's the group I was referring to. My girlfriend in MA knows Pam, and Pam then contacted me this past week. She filled me in on what the group does and other activities as well (Peter Piper Pizza on Wednesday's right here in Chandler). I would like to start doing the Wednesday night runs at the track soon. It's not too far from my home and I think my husband could get home to watch the kids.
I currently workout at Mountainside Fitness here in Chandler. Have you heard of it? They have a great facility and childcare. That is key for me right now with three kids. My kids all love going there and I'm happy about it.
I am going to run the 1/2 marathon. I don't have the desire to do a full marathon, nor do my knees. The training schedules for the half work for me best. After the RnR, I am going to start Tri training. That's my goal for the summer of '04. I started swimming some last month and taking it slow. Biking is going to be the big question : Not sure how to work that in right now.
So, you're going to do the full?
What's the run like when you go out with them?
It is hot and I am ready for a cooldown to get outside. I know that I have to get out there.
Where are you living? We're off of Dobson and Germann.
Look forward to hearing more from you.

I'm going to run the full marathon. It will be my 3rd.
I haven't run with evr in awhile (since being pregnant) but I've always liked their group. They are really small, friendly and have all different levels of runners. They have some great workouts on Wednesdays at the track and a good variety of long runs on Saturday mornings.
I'm going to try and get some runs in with east valley and the 1st marathon group.
I live in Gilbert on Guadalupe/Greenfield (right near the Library and Val Vista Lakes). I have lots of great running trails near me.
I ran today and it was soooo hot out at 6:30am!
What are the ages of your children?
Are you doing the 5k this coming weekend?

Lisamarie:
Wasn't planning on running the 5K next weekend. We're getting together with friends who just moved here to Gilbert. They actually stayed at Val Vista Lakes until they could get into their house. Nice plat/setup & pool.
I think it's great the you're running the full marathon. Wow!
I'll let you know when I plan to go one Wednesday night to train with the EVR group (a few days notice).
I have three children: Caitlin 8, Courtney 4, and J.T. 2

Savvy---did you used to use your real name over at Cool Running, or Lisa from AZ or something like that? I remember a Lisamarie from over there and I think I do remember her posting way back when she first got preggers. Was that you? You met some of us at Nashville, maybe??
It would be great if you two could meet up sometime! Hope you get it worked out.

Well, the story with my name is.... I started out as Squirtmonkey (named after my kitty cat) then my computer was having problems and I had to start all over with a new name.
My name is Lisamarie and yes I ran the half in Nashville and met some really neat Coolrunners.
I just had my first baby girl March 2003 and her name is Savannah, so now I'm Savvysmommy.
Do you still post over at coolrunning?
It seems alot of coolrunners are now over here.

AHA!!! Squirtmonkey, now I remember!! I thought that was you!! Congrats on your lovely new addition and welcome to RR! Please feel free to share her pictures
I occasionally post over there, but not often, I prefer the atmosphere here much better. But yes, a lot of the fun people from CR have relocated here, you'll probably recognize a few names--not so much the old crowd but some of the newer folks. Liam even occasionally stops by here.
Good to see you back again!!

Nope, that wasn't me.
I've running my Sat. long runs in Central Phx. with the childhelp group and East Valley runners on other weekends.
My little one almost 7 months old so playing at the track won't work for me. But, if you would like to run Friday mornings let me know. I usually go easy for 4-6 miles on Fridays.
Let me know.
Are you training for the full or the half?

I'm about 30 hours driving time or 3 hrs flight time away from Phoenix. I doubt I can make it in the fall for a get together. I don't know what my schedule is for the race. I may fly out Friday night so I get all day Saturday for fun. Sunday I have to fly back to Indiana right after the race.

There is absolutely nothing easy about 4-6 miles...LOL
Do you run at Granada park? My group runs there also. Just depends on what I feel like at the time really.
I can't run Friday mornings unless 4 a.m. is an option(?)
We still will need to get this Phoenix group together
