If I have a problem that I could use advice on, I may ask people from here if I think they can help. I value everybody's input. Once I have what I feel is enough to make a educated decision, then I make my own decision.
Maybe not everybody's got a educated response, but maybe they look at it from a different angle that makes you stop and think for just a second. And when you stop and think about a different angle, that's when the other options begin to open up and you see what is really going on.

I've actually met two real live people from here. Spoken to two more. And live in the same town with two more! So I know six. Had I not taken the chance, I'd have lost out on a very important turning point in my life.
I will take advice from them, sought out or unsolicited, because they know me personally. I value their opinion because of trust.
I don't know everyone here personally, but those I do, know many more of you and therefore my trust of certain individuals grows...but I'm not an idiot about the weird ones close by. Hell, you got them in your neighborhood and you probably don't even know it...you may even speak to them in person...THAT'S how weird everywhere is.
I like it here...  The only trouble I have is when I'm not sure of someone's 'tone'....are they really being sarcastic, or are they serious...that's why I tend to use the smilies......uh..ok..alot!
