So...it's been raining a lot here and my Liberty has been FILTHY on the outside.
During a good dry spell, I took my car to the car wash bay and washed it with the pressure washer. I even used the soapy foamy brush . I then had to run it through the drive-through wash (because I'm vertically challenged and cannot properly wash the top half of my car).
I notice after the car has thoroughly dried there was no change in the filthy appearance of my vehicle.
A couple days later, I ran it through the drive-through car wash again. NO CHANGE.
I finally had to hand wash my car, not once, but twice.
Somebody, please explain to me why this is?

The cleaning agents at gas station drive throughs and do-it-yourself wash places are often so diluted that it's not effective at cutting through the road grime that builds up on your car exterior.
If you did a lot of highway driving during the rainy time, all of the garbage on the road was being applied to your car by Mother Nature and the cars around you. When it dries, it acts like cement.
Spend the extra money and take it to a higher end detail shop. Talk to a manager about what can be done to get it clean.
Hope this helps.
