Poor Libby. She just isn't staying regular. I don't know what to do (call from school brought this topic on, forgive me). It's almost like she has the constitution of a senior for crying out loud. I think it may be time to introduce her to prunes!!!

raisin bran and prune juice keeps me going.......
although from an athletic standpoint.....bran is a complex carb and prune juice has a lot of potassium so that is good for running and biking....

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. Total maybe? I know she doesn't eat enough fruit, so maybe that's part of it. I don't want to keep giving her that powder the doc prescribed. I think natural is better.
We don't have the best eating habits. Need to start working on menus again to make sure they're all getting enough fruits and veggies.

Cliff Bars.
the cherry almond kind are the best (not chocolate).....it could be her after school snack. give her a salad with dinner too.
kids chewable tylenol will constipate kids. lots of over the counter meds will too, cold meds, sinus stuff...also chocolate is a killer.
oh, Cliff Bars. did i say that?

And she loves salad. Excellent idea.
and we've been having more than our fair share of chocolate (& cheese on crackers) lately as well.
Cliff bars seem drastic. Those are way expensive, aren't they? Of course, probably no more so than the fixin's for a good salad. I hate that good food is costs so much. It's cheaper to buy a bag of m&ms than a couple veggies.

Miralax? You can build up a dependency on laxatives, OTC or prescription.
You can use epsom salts for a laxative too--that stuff's dirt cheap.
Metamucil works too.

I think just plain drinking water helps too. Just making sure she's not dehydrated. Raisin Bran is great. Anything with a decent amount of fiber. There are also enemas and suppositories that can be used on kids (call the doc first to make sure this is okay)

Yeah, I was just reading about dependency issues. Imagine a kid addicted to that? Yipes.
No, gonna hit the store tonite, buy a lot of fiber-rich foods and cut back on the chocolate and cheese for a bit. I may go ahead and get some metamucil too, for just in case. I had some fiber thingies myself for after my surgery, but I think I left them in the medicine cabinet in Charlotte. More and more I'm finding that I've left things there that would come in handy here.

Yeah, she said that since I've removed her tv (another topic, another day) she will bowflex more. Dad is supposed to be by soon to drag the mill up here too... maybe then she'll be more like Rob!

cliff bars are about $1.25 each, yeah it's expensive especially if you have one every day, but they're organic and like you say, good food is so much more pricey than the junk.
