Posted: 05/14/06 - 00:23 Post subject: Regionals 2 mile (Race Report)
This was my final meet of the season. We got there at about 9 AM and my event didnt start til 5 PM so I basically had to sit, be bored, and watch the events until it was time to warm up. The weather was PERFECT, slightly foggy and probably upper 60's. I was pretty nervous before the race. I watch the 1600 race and DAYUMMM!! This kid Chad Hall from Big Bear runs a 4:20 (and then later has the meet record for 2 mile with a 8:57!) It was truly inspring to watch, it gave me chills. So its time for my 2 mile and we line up, I feel really good. Everyone bursts out the first lap with a 71 - I end up doing the first mile in 5:01!!! I end up with a 10:39 - a 19 second PR from just 2 weeks ago - and probably would be capable of running a 4:45 mile given what I just ran. Hallelujah! It was a great day all and all.
Summary -
10:39 3200
-5:01
-5:38
-19 second PR
Now, I will go enjoy some well-deserved sleep.

If I recall, I think you said a couple weeks ago you'd PR again with this race. And you did. Congratulations!
