I saw Shelee post the word "San Diegans" and it struck me as amusing. We've done this before but there are some good ones and I still don't know what half the residents of the nation would be called someone from Maine = Mainiac? dunno Wink

What are residents from Wisconsin called? Ohio? New Mexico? Sheboygan? Yonkers? LA?

There are folks that call Mainers Maniacs. They only do it once thought.

Generally, the term Downeaster is heard more often. Or Mainer.

the nice nickname for Ohioians is Buckeye.

I've heard Pennsyltuckians call us Flatlanders.... Because they think the Alleghenies are actually mountains.
