Garmin Forerunner 201 is $99 refurbished at the running room tomorrow...

i have a 20% off coupon.

i've never used one before - is it any good?

It's the only 'gadget' I use.

The 201 doesn't have a HRM.

It's really nice if you're an anal running log recorder like me and want the exact miles you've run or biked. And it automatically keeps the mile splits as you run. No more guessing.

is there anyway to get a HRM for it?

and it *would* be great for biking too...

but i'd really like the heartrate monitor too. hmmm decisions decisions.

If you want the HRM too, you gotta get the Garmin 301 or 305.
With the new 305 out, there's probably some good 301 bargains out there dunno

looks like $200 or so for the 301 on ebay.

a bit more then i can afford right now but maybe i'll keep watching.
