If she were coming to Madison, I probably wouldn't have posted that...

My shoes have reflectorized bits and I have one of those reflectorized Running Room jackets that scream "newbie".

Better to have something that screams "newbie" than having someone screaming for 911.
I'm always amazed when I see (barely) people out in the dark without any reflective stuff on. And those little, tiny things on shoes really don't do the trick.

I wear a reflective vest early mornings and evenings. It's extrememly important, and I'm not sure a wrist band is enough.

no, wear the jacket. the reflections strips on your shoes are not enough. it does not scream newbie, it screams look out i'm coming, don't hit me. Please stay safe.

When I ride, especially when I commute, I'm highly visible. 4 rear blinkies and a 30W headlight up front, plus lots of brightly colored clothes. My panniers also have some neon-yellow patches and reflective parts to them.

Really, I just use cycling as an excuse to wear brightly colored clother. Wink

I wear Illuminite. Jacket or vest depending on temp. I just ordered an illuminite long sleeve shirt for spring! Even with reflective gear people still drive like they don't see you. Mad
