Only four turns needed to get to Marshall, Michigan for a cousin's wedding... right, left, right, and right. No lie. The interstate systems of roads are wonderful things.
I chuckled when we turned onto I-69. chuckling as I type too.
When Michigan natives give directions they tell you to turn north at 11 Mile Road. I had to look to see which way the sun was setting to find north. They can give those kinds of instructions because all the roads are laid out on a grid... with parallel roads! Man, that never happens in Pittsburgh.
There are a lot of farms in Michigan.
There are a lot of stars in the sky. Most of the ones I saw in Michigan I don't see in light-polluted Pittsburgh.
I like taking road trips.

Have spent some time on I-69. One of the most boring interstates I've ever traveled.

I'm always amazed at how many stars you can see from my parents' farm in supah rural KS. It's soooo good.

Hey I grew up in the Metro Detroit area, of course I still live there, yes Detroit needs major help, but the suburbs are very nice. Speaking of exit 69 and 1-75 I work two miles from there and yes I see many stars at night!!!!!!

When we drove through Kansas last summer I was amazed to see a long freight from beginning to end off in the distance! I just seems bigger out there!
