Has to be less than $100. Preferable something that is sweat-proof.

Me likey my RCA lyra.
Arm band, rubberized outer case, 128 meg for 99 bucks at curcuit city, software was pretty easy, although I did need to read the directions to get Ranger's PC to see it.

And to go with that, recommendations for the best download sites please...
RCA K@zoo here, Target and Walmart both have them the cheapest, around $99 I think.

Winmix.com (Thank you Monk!)
I have a sony cd player that reads mp3s off of cd-rs in addition to playing normal cds. And the batteries last forevah, playing mp3s apparently uses no juice. Its big but I don't care since I only really use it at the gym and it fits nicely in the cup holder of the treadmill. I think it was $90

definitely winmx, if you are into stealing music (in case big brother is watching....)
hated my kazoo, but love my archos jukebox, which is about 4x what you are willing to spend (although has probably come down in price since I bought mine a year ago). I'd love to get an iPod, not sure what that sucker runs...
let us know what you get!

I have this one. It's only failed me twice: both time during torrential downpours (but after 48 hours, alive and kickin' again). LOVE it. I bought it with a coupon so it was less than it is here, but dude, I would highly recommend it for its durability. I am never without it on the road, resting on the armband. I bought a similar model for RLAG for her birthday, too, and she raves as well. PM me if you want more details.
