Last time I was ticketed was in Toll Jersey in 1990. Been stopped 4 times since then, no tickets issued.

One ticket for doing 65 in a 45 in a construction zone. They do the double drop down from 65 speed limit. The last sign I saw was 60. I find it ironic that the only time I get a speeding ticket is when I'm deliberately trying to follow the speed limit. I've been pulled over every time I've driven to Texas (twice). Once was for speeding (78 in a 70... jackarse) and the other was for turning over a lane of "traffic" when the only cars visible were 500 yards behind me and going 30mph (yes, one was a cop). Yeah, that was really unsafe.
I find it odd how people judge good driving based on tickets. It's completely irrelevant to me. Maybe you're an unlawful driver, but not a bad one.
I always try to park next to a tree or on the end of a row so that only one car can park on the side of me. A friend asked me why I did this and I said because I don't trust people to not ding my doors. His reply was why do you drive 85 on the interstate in town, but park with such caution. I told him to tell me how many scratches I had on my car because of idiots in parking lots (a lot). Then I asked him how many scratches I had due to my driving (zero). I drive fast compared to most people, but I know my limitations extremely well. If I'm feeling slow in the brain, I drive the speed limit. I consider myself a very good driver. I've never caused a wreck, and have never hit anything. My car was hit 3 times in the first year that I had it. In all cases the car was either stationary or moving less than 5mph. I do not trust other drivers at all, and every close call I've had has been because of some moron that I could not possibly avoid.

I've gotten one for that. I had been doing 85-90 (in a 70), then realized I was approaching a town and slowed it town to the legal 70 (okay, maybe 71 on a downward slope) and watched for signs to follow saying whatever reduced speed was through the town (55 apparently). I apparently passed a semi-truck doing said 71 RIGHT as it turned 55. Didn't see the sign at all. Me and the truck were the only ones driving. Jerk East Texan cop busts me for 16 over.
