I don't ever want to retire completely, although in later years it would be nice to work part-time and take classes and travel.

I would like to partially retire at around 55 (my grandfather laid down the precedant). I wouldn't mind teaching or something like that until I am 75, though.

Full time retire at 58 or so (I will have my 25 years in at RTPD). Work part time so I have more time to enjoy life at my own leisure.
When my dad retired at 55 he said the best thing was not having to live by the clock anymore. He oculd go to bed when he wanted and just wake up in the morning.
I figure by 58 I will be ready to settle down and focus on other things. Would like to work part time though maybe in security or something just to keep active.
I would also if able train my a$$ off and started winning some serious hardware since there is a lot less competition around.

Also I figure I could start being a pop pop around then and could really enjoy being a full time pop pop instead of po po.

I will be able to retire from full-time work at 42, 10 years from now, 'cause I've worked really hard in my twenties and thirties to reach that goal.

At that point I'll probably still work as a teacher once I escape corporate (but lucrative) America, but it'll be a great feeling to work only because I want to, not because I have to.
