I did not knowingly take steroids. What a crock of bull. I hope this doesn't detract from the 20 years of hard work I've put into baseball.... I.E. Crap, here goes my chance to get into Cooperstown.....
Who knew the Viagra would show up as a positive!

I just picked up--and read---Juiced, Jose Conseco's book on baseball and steroids. Apparently "he" was the godfather of all steroids. He did steroids along with Rafael and Pudge back when he was a Texas Ranger.
Stupid Palmero Nothing like tainting your spot in the hall of fame.
I watched an ESPN Classic game...it was when Mark McGwire was a rookie....and I could not believe what a tiny scrawny thing he was...
Should they scrub the records of Sosa, McGwire, and Bonds??? I don't know. They won't admit to anything. Palmero denied under oath at the Senate hearings didn't he...well, so did Clinton, so that apparently doesn't mean so much these days.

His lame excuses fall into the same catagory as "The dog ate my homework".
Palmero told the press "How stupid do you think I am?" My answer to this is simple ... very d*mn stupid.
I've followed baseball, both as a fan and a participant, for all of my life and I really have a hard time with today's "game". These current stars set quite an example for the youth of America.

roberto clemente had 3,000 base hits and i'm guessing no steroids. why should this loser be in the same hall of fame as he?
i think they should have a steroid hall of fame and a real hall of fame.
maybe the steriod hall of fame could be in hoboken NJ.
newsflash baseballs fans: everybody's doing it.

Or the steroid hall could be in SF, they could use the BALCO building.
I wonder if Bonds, not playing this year, is still subject to testing.

He was tested earlier this year, maybe in sprint training before he was put on the DL.

Perhaps someone should create a "Hall of Shame" and include these clowns.

I'm sure BALCO could sponsor a HOF wing.

Interesting this was brought up. Does anyone else find it ironic that Bonds came out yesterday and said he won't be back this year? Seems to me that he's been waiting for this. He knows he can't come back like he was now without being tested, especially now that a superstar player has been picked off. I would bet we never see Barry play again.

I would bet we never see Barry play again. | Barry will come back, but probably because his is a baseball family name, as it were. I doubt he'll break Hank Aaron's record though.
But he's not the only one who's going to be affected by this. For instance anyone notice how Mr. Sosa's arms aren't as big as in seasons past. Coincidence? Kudos for Ryne Sandberg give him indirect come-uppance on that (among other things) in his HOF speech.
