Barry will come back, but probably because his is a baseball family name, as it were. I doubt he'll break Hank Aaron's record though.

But he's not the only one who's going to be affected by this. For instance anyone notice how Mr. Sosa's arms aren't as big as in seasons past. Coincidence? Kudos for Ryne Sandberg give him indirect come-uppance on that (among other things) in his HOF speech.


I did notice that Sosa isn't quite the physical monster he's been in years past and his hitting numbers seem to be reflecting it. If you ask me, Bonds would be taking the high road by not coming back to baseball at all. Anyone who saw that photo array espn put out a while back of his "growth" over the years has to realize it wasn't all accomplished in the weight room.
