Last year I paid $125 for registration to Gulf Coast Triathlon. this year the registration is $200.
The registration for Georgia Rock and Roll man is $125.
I'm spending $350 just to register for the races. Never mind driving, hotels, food.....

I'm lucky to be able to stay with friends/family for all my races this year except 1. And NC has a pretty good crop of races, so I don't have to travel much.

Both races are half IM's.

I think the Georgia just hasn't caught up yet. GCT has been running 23 years, and it is just the second for Georgia.
With the other half I'm doing in Nov., Miamiman. If you add in the cost of IMWI, I'll spend over $1000 just in registration fees for 4 races.
