Having used both I will tell you Under Armor has Coolmax beat as far as ventilation, breathability and comfort.
I currently have a no sleeve T shirt by Underarmor, a white, WalMart version of Underarmor T shirt. Can't wait to get a LS Tee for winter running.

Anything but cotton. I buy the knock-off Wal-mart/Target shirts.

I use underarmor for winter running as a base layer. I dis agree with you, I think coolmax is cooler in the summer.

Coolmax style so far for me. Someday I might get some under armour just to try it.

Although sometimes I'll wear cotton when the weather is cooler.

Haven't tried UA yet; the best stuff I've found for summer is the Coolmax mini-mesh RaceReady uses. Light, soft, great ventilation.
