Posted: 10/29/06 - 19:45 Post subject: Question about running watches
I would like to get a running watch that gives me overall time (obviously) and splits. Don't need anything more than that. Saving the data or any other special features aren't needed. Anyone know of a good cheap watch that'll do this for me?
Thanks,
John

Timex Ironman. I think mine was $35 a couple years ago. It has a 50 lap memory, so it will hold more splits than you're likely to use. Unless you're doing an ultra and want every km marked off. Pretty basic watch - they have a couple of competitors that I can't speak for. Nike has their stripped down equivalent at $70 or so (last time I checked... it's been a while) which isn't worth it.

Thanks guys... sounds like a great watch, I'll look it up. A 50 lap memory is pleanty for me... if I was doing an ultra I don't think I worry much about pace anyway
