I'm still using MS Word 97. How do I change the default characteristics of the Headings 1, 2 & 3, Normal and Default paragraph?
Can I create more styles?

Not sure if this will work In Word 97, but try going to Format>Style, and in the list drop down, choose all styles, then modify the one you want

Styles - like Cappy said. This would include the Normal style. Format/Styles, select the one you want, and modify away.
Default paragraph - Format/Paragraph. Make changes (alignment, space after, etc.) and click the bottom left button (I think it says Default, but I'm not sure - I'm working off of memory here).
If you have any other things, feel free to PM/email me. How's my log conversion coming, BTW?
