Me too really. All I did was look for the labled boards he needed when he needed them. He even put the wrong screws in the wrong places. Didn't surprise me though.

I hated putting stuff together with Kramer. Seriously, I think I have a far better aptitude with that. I assembled almost everything (bowflex, bookcases, our huge anthro cart) after our one bout with an entertainment center. <shudder> Not a happy time.

After several gos of "Diretions we don' need your stinkin' directions" I develped an "attack" plan for assembly.
Get the instructions out.
Open up the packet with all the screws, doodads, connectors, etc etc
Match the screws with the panels photos etc etc.
Charge up the power drill put in screwdriver attachement
Keep small kids and other innocent types out of the room
Assemble.
Drink heavily afterwards as a reward of a job well done.
