I took a sick day yesterday (We received an email last week that told us we would no longer be compensated for perfect attendance  ).
In order to get me son to take a much needed a afternoon nap, I told him That when he woke up, there would be a Christmas tree. It worked like a charm.
He woke up a few hours later, all excited about the tree.
He ran to the tree, looked at it and asked...
Daddy, where's the presents?

i wondered the same thing
that would be a great friday contest/funny thing to do
we put our lights on ours tonight will be decorating in the next few days
jj was so excited...look at the pretty lights he said
he was the official hold the lights until daddy could put them in place
he was quite proud of himself

We are thinking of going very subtle on the decoration thing, because my kids would probably try to eat them.
Right now its tree, lights and star...
