I have been to many protests. Some with my mother. Some with my children. Some with my husband. Some I've traveled for. Some at which I've been fearful about getting arrested. (Haven't yet, but my lawyer always knows when I'm going to a rally and he leaves his cell-phone on.) I am always polite. I never hassle the police. I never drink or litter or swear or do anything that's less than 100% gracious. I've learned you go a lot further in trying to deliver your message that way.

I write a lot of letters, too, Joe, and call my reps a lot. Just called Chaka Fattah this morning as a matter of fact. But sometimes I feel you just have to stand up and be counted.

no, no plans either. Would rather send letters of protest to people in power, pen is mightier than the sword.

True but in the battle field I'd much rather have my enemy attack me with a blue Bic pen... Razz

I actually prefer black ink myself.

1 black for me to. Call black the official pen of RTPD

Yep, mostly animal stuff, did a Save the Baby Harp Seals march in Washington years ago, nothing lately....but I agree with the pen-wielders also, have done that several times lately.

There, and across the street from my office at the Governor's mansion. The usual suspects are anti-death penalty groups, and the pro-pot groups.
