Ok, I feel I could single-handedly take down a herd of chickens. I am so protein hungry, it's not even funny. I have been so conscious of my vitamins that I have neglected my protein intake--and I am feeling it.
But, there is only a certain amount of chicken/fish I can consume.
I can't eat peanut butter or any nuts. I can't eat red meat.
Are all proteins created equal?
I need some protein ideas that are low fat because my body can't digest fat. (or fiber, but that's a different thread)
I have decided to start eating protein bars as a supplement. Are some better than others as protein delivery vehicles?
What about powders? Are some better than others? Are there any I should outright avoid?
What do you advise??

what about tuna?
free-range chicken breasts are the best in my opinion.
sorry, i don't know much about protein bars but i've just found them not too easily digestable -- but that is a very individual thing.

aire, I use Optimum Nutrition(ON) protein powder. It's great, 110 cals. 2 fat grams, 2 carbs, 1g sugar, 22 grams of protein in each scoop. Comes in choc, van, and strawberry. Taste good, mixes well too. I love to use my blender, 1 1/2 scoops protein powder, bunch of ice, a little vanilla yogurt, a banana and some skim milk, and I add whole flax seed. You can use diff. fruit, yogurt if you like or none at all. Another fav is when using the choc. flavor I add leftover coffee instead of milk. Yummy. It's not too expensive either. I get a 5 lb. container for about $27.00.
