What do you think about riding a bike despite of the fact that I have certain prostate problems? I’d like to take up this activity, because my job is sedentary but I remember having read something about cycling causing prostate problems, and even certain kinds of cancer, but I don’t want to believe in that. My wife is strongly against this idea of mine, because she’s worried and says that I should better choose running or swimming.

I don’t know what to advise you, so I’m gonna state my opinion which doesn’t have to be true. So, you’ve definitely heard of Lance Armstrong. That’s the guy who was a famous cyclist at the moment when he was diagnosed with testicular cancer. He bravely confronted it and he was successfully cured. After that he returned to cycling with flying colors and won Tour de France. I guess you get my point. So, the main thing is to buy a good and quality saddle and I suggest you to choose a model made of silicone. It’s also important to adjust its height well, and I don’t think you are likely to have any problems. I’ve also heard stories that cycling is not healthy for men and how it causes penile numbness but I still like it and don’t want to quit.
