Unfortunately, the Braves have been in Atlanta longer than they were in Milwaukee, but only have just as many World Series championships (one each) to show for it. Until they get another one, or more likely string a couple together, they won't be considered a great team.

Stop it, you're killing me.
Seriously, Jim Thome frightens me.

Lissen, ya big monkeycracker, you can't be a fan here if you don't believe, under the most ridiculous circumstances, that your team can do it.
And since Philly only lost first place YESTERDAY, I'm not sure this is even so far-fetched. In fact, Joe will bet you $20 the Phils climb back out of it at some point.
How come Thome scares you? Goette Deux has a big crush on him.

Monkeycracker?
Thome is Bonds without steroids. The guy destroys baseballs. That's why he scares me.

My guess is that Thome scares the crap out of any opposing pitcher. He was my favorite player when he wore a Tribe uniform. My new favorite player is Victor Martinez, Tribe catcher, who I'm sure will be unaffordable by the tightwads who run this team within a few years.

Go Bravos! Will be two up over the Phils after tonight's victory!
The Braves have played some of the worst baseball over the last 3 months, yet they are still in first place. Imagine what will happen when they get cooking?

Good morning all. <Yawn> Hey Sonny, that game went late last night, into 10 innings, and I just couldn't stay up. Say, what was the final score?

Fantastic game last night. The Braves should have won it, but alas the Phils took it to our bullpen. Such is life in baseball. If David Bell doesn't make an outstanding play in the bottom of the 10th, the Braves would have tied it up and most likely won. First series that the Braves haven't won in like 6 or 7.

They are still 10.5 games up, that is a pretty safe lead.

As long as we don't have to face STL in the first round of the playoffs, I like our chances. The Dodgers have ZERO pitching.

That's about the time that the Tigers will be looking for a new catcher.
