Thanks for bringing up the rain gear subject -- been struggling with this.
Those suits look swass and have nice features, but beyond what I'm willing to spend on clothes (I think).
I've been looking all this week for a waterproof, breathable jacket and am taken aback at the cost of tech clothing. My one local outdoor clothing store seems especially overpriced when compared to web stores.
Anyone know of any such jackets ( + suitable for running and biking) for around US$60 or $70?. Or am I being totally unrealistic? Would a $100 rain jacket rock my face off?
I don't mind being cold. I don't mind being wet. I do have issues with getting drenched, then getting cold (as has been happening). Scored some Columbia rubber pants for $3 at TJ Maxx. Only problem is -- the lower part of my tights gets soaked from the leg opening. Bah!

Did you try RoadRunnersports or National Running Center? Usually if you hit a good sale you can get something suitable. Preferably Gore Tex.
Sierra Trading Post is hit or miss but they have good prices on what is available, as does campmor.com
Don't be shy about buying online, it does save a lot of money, especially if you hit a free shipping deal.

For that kind of money I would get the GPS watch, it would be something that I would use a lot more.
