I got my first flat of the year yesterday on the way home. I've got add-on kevlar belts on the road bike and slime on the MTB. Both seem to work equally well, but the Slime is much heavier @ 4 oz. / tire.

Pinch or puncture?
You'll never eliminate all flats, but good tires inflated to the proper pressure goes a long way. A MTB tour guide puts several layers of duct tape on the inside of the tires. He says that solves most of them. That sounds like the kevlar belts you are using.

It's the shizzle! or something like that
I used to flat about once a week before I started using those. Now I made it a couple of months before I got a flat.
