The avatar that I use is the current State Flag of Georgia. On Tuesday we vote whether to keep this flag or go back to the "Barnes" flag which was enacted in 2001.
Although the flag vote is non-binding it is widely assumed the legislature and governor will adopt whichever one gets the most votes. There is a good chance the current flag may lose, so I may have to choose another avatar.
I'll have to think about that a little because I really don't like the 2001 flag.
I would choose a "GT Yellow Jacket" but Sonny's already got that one and I don't want to copy anyone.
Decision, decisions on election day.

Georgia changes the state flag more frequently than I change my underwear.

Maybe you should wear the Georgia flag AS your underwear,

So what's the deal with the GA flag. From your avatar it looks like a salt shaker inside a circle of stars?

The flag is modeled after the First National Flag of the Confederacy, the Stars and Bars. The 13 stars inside the blue canton represent the 13 original American states, of which Georgia is one. The Georgia Coat of Arms is within the 13 stars and the words "In God We Trust" is underneath the Coat of Arms.
IMHO this flag does an excellent job of representing the history and heritage of Georgia, without being as blatantly offensive as the 1956 flag, which contained the Confederate battle flag on it. I was not offended by the '56 flag but I can understand the feelings of some who were.
Going back to the '56 flag is not an option in this election. We will choose between the flag you see as my avatar or the Barnes flag.

The more, the merrier. Us Jackets have to stick together.

New flag for me. The Barnes flag was way too busy, IMHO

The state has changed the flag twice since 1956.

Me too. I can barely remember last week, let alone July of last year.
