So this saturday, I am going out West and Wrasslin Cattle.
My wife's family has a ranch out near the MO river, and they still raise cattle out there the old fashioned way, and basically let them graze the prarie.
Then each spring they have a "Round up", in which they bring all the cattle in, and they give the new born calves their shots, and also brand them.
This is where I come in, I get to help wrassle the calves so they can be branded. For those of you who are animal rights type people, I apoligize in advance.
Anyway, if someone has a digital camera out there, I will see if I can get some photos posted. It's kinda funny to see a soft teacher like me wrasslin cattle.

Nothing quite like the smell of burnt animal hair and flesh.  And then if it's rainy, you'll get covered with mud and cow manure too.

If you're thinking of carrying the camera yourself while you are ropin' 'em, I suggest a disposable one!
