As you know I work for the USPS. Most of my tasks involve processing oc catalogues. With Christmas approaching you can imnagine what that's like right now. Anyway, as I process catalogues I have noticed a couple of things:
Victoria's Secret, Nordstrom's, Coldwater Creek, Lerner etc must have about 4 or 5 current catalogues in homes right about now.
Question #1: Do you look at all these catalogues as they come in ? Do you buy from them as they come in or wait for the right time ?
Question #1: I notice some catalogues (Not exclusively VS sell cllothes that fit size 0 (Zero). I used to date a young lady that was a size 3 and she weighed about 97 lbs. How big (small) is a person that fits into a size 0 ?
Before I get accused of something, I do note that Cabellas, Bass Pro Shops and other firms of that ilk also have about 4 or 5 catalogues going at the same time.

Q1: There is no way I'd have time to look at all of them, there's a pile right now on my dining room table! It's insane this time of year, and you're right....it's everyone. My flower bulb catalogs were coming at the rate of several a week about a month ago since fall is planting season, and now it's all the funky gift catalogues: Swiss Colony, Harry & David, Norm Thompson, et al in addition to all the clothing ones. Usually I flip through quickly when I get them and either toss right then or put aside to look at in greater detail later if I see something I might want. Most of the time the pile ends up getting so big it gets tossed in a month or so. Rarely I will buy something right then, I try to take some time to think if I really need it or not, unless I'm in the market for some new clothes or whatever.
Q2: I think size 0 is mainly juniors, i.e teens, young 20's and very tiny people. The smallest I ever got was a size 4 and I was a couple pounds heavier than your friend....and that was when I was about 22. There used to be a store in the mall called 5-7-9 that went down to size 0 and mostly the people who shopped in there were high school girls, from what I remember.

Question #1 No.
Question #2 I'd say as small as the average kindergardner.

I don't look at any of them. Straight from the mailbox to the trashcan.
My 9 yr old might be a size 0, but other than that I don't have a clue.

I don't look at catalogs except RRS. I've been calling the numbers on catalogs to get them to take my name off the mailing list. I want them to stop coming to my house. What a waste of paper.

I do not look in catalogs. I only receive them because I buy online and they send them.
Size 0 are junior-sized cut with an adult length. Supermodels wear it because they're so thin and tall.

I'll read them if I'm bored. I rarely buy anything from a catalogue, as I like to try things on first, and it seems like the sizing is never accurate.
We had a girl who worked here who was a size zero. She was about 5'2 and weighed 94 pounds. I know this because she would weigh herself on the shipping scale every day and tell you what she weighed. When she got to 95 she was distraught, as I recall.
