What is the color of the majority of your winter shoes?
If brown, then buy brown.
I wear mostly black shoes in the winter but found a gorgeous Eddie Bauer leather jacket on clearance at the outlet--in brown. So, I said F that, I'll just be a fashion victim.

Bomber Jacket: Brown (If its black you'll look like a biker NTTAWWT)
Non bomber jacket: Black I'm assuming this would be longer and looser fitting than the bomber style jacket.
