Old-fashioned? Me? Nah, I just hit her on the head with my club and dragged her back to my cave....oops, sorry...our cave.

Just as long as everything in that cave is split 50/50. Mr. Green

Absolutely! My fellow mouth-breathing, knuckle-dragging associates and I always share whatever it is that we manage to kill/scavenge. We haul it back and the wimmens take care of the rest. Mmmmm, that's good eating!

Do you ever get to wondering if one cave-guy ever decided to pull an "Emeril" and do the holiday cooking for the clan? No? Uh, me either... Embarassed

No, that's a fair question. But we scorn Emeril and consider him a grandstanding hack. Sniff...sniff....we prefer to have our meal preparation referred to as pulling a "Jacques Pepin"...puh-leeze....sniff. Really, we felt this way long before Emeril thought that a television sitcom starring himself was a good idea.

And for us, every day is a holiday and every meal a feast!

Please pass the port, Grog. That's a good chap. Thenk-u veddy much.

I asked Joy's dad the day before proposing to her. He didn't like my initial offer so I counter-offered with a box of Twinkies and case of JD. Mr. Green

But in all seriousness, it was a HUGE move because she was so relieved when I told her that I had asked for his permission...

The sound of a man's breathing and the noise from the shuffling of feet....the noise of someone feverishly searching for something that's been misplaced, it has a faint echo-like quality to it...almost as if it came from the deep recesses of a cave....yes!

In the bright sunshine outside, just beyond the entrance to the cave, a man appears, smiling broadly, for his has finally located his best "decorated for the holidays" club....

It's almost time for the "engagement" party...

Since I am not in a relationship that is even close to that point (heck, I'm not even in one), I'm not sure. Most likely I will ask permission before hand.
