That's what I got.

I'd say its about right:

Quote:
According to your answers, your political philosophy is right-conservative.

Conservative

Right-conservatives prefer self-government on economic issues, but want official standards in personal matters. They want the government to defend the community from threats to its moral fiber.

but we're conditioned to see only the two major partys as a serious candidate for president (media coverage doesn't help any).

I think its not so much conditioning as it is mind boggling campaign finance and corporate partnering of both the two major parties that allows them to be publicized like they are, lack of education of the masses, lack of the majority voting (probably because they aren't educated on the candidates or dislike both), and lack of the voting population to really see the impact their vote has on the future of this nation and many many other countries.

Oh, I guess I should add my results:

Libertarian
Libertarians are self-governors in both personal and economic matters. They believe government's only purpose is to protect people from coercion and violence. They value individual responsibility, and tolerate economic and social diversity.

LOL

but you gotta watch yourself around here. Lots of Native Americans around, and they take this voting/not voting thing seriously.

big scandal on the last election about a bunch of registered voters on the reservations. Some weren't legally registered. It was a big headache.

So, someone can look at George Bush and decide that he is not doing a good job as President and that his policies (in Bush's case, probably foreign policy) is leading this country down a path it shouldn't be going.

??? I think foreign policy is where George W. shines best. He's doing what needs to have been done since the first WTC bombing in 1993. He's got some big cajones, and he's being quite effective. The handover is ahead of schedule, and there haven't been any real surprises, because he's always stated that the row was going to be a tough hoe. Then again, some tend to take Media Anti-Bush distortions as actual truth, when all along the Iraqis have been stating how glad they are that we're there and how their economy is so much better w/o Saddam the Torturer in power.

Appeasement and conflict avoidance have never solved any problems. Progress is only made when situations are dealt with aggressively and uncompromisingly. Where would we be if we had decided to run away from the Japanese and the Germans in 1942?

If the commoners do get to vote this year, who is going to supervise? And should their votes count towards the actual election?

Arguable. It depends what side of the fence you come down on. Many feel that Iraq was a mistake from the start and the US handling of the war is nothing but a political and diplomatic nightmare. Others, and i think i can place you in this category (but if not, i apologize), feel that Bush is doing a suberb job and that this was a justified military action and that Bush is leading the United States down exactly the right path.

It just depends on what color glasses one is wearing.
