I'm voting for George W. Bush because
Despite acting like a fiscal conservative, he's exploded the deficit with budget cuts so as to ultimately destroy the federal government

I like that his rigid dogmatism allows him to send American troops to die in Iraq, despite the fact that there was no substantive connection between Al-Qaeda and Saddam.

Definitely God's favorite. He told me so! Mr. Green Of course, I'd vote republican for life if I truly thought I could count ketchup as a veggie.

Isn't ketchup's main ingredient tomatoes. I believe some people count the tomato as a fruit. Does that change your republican for life theory?

I will mildly agree with you on Option 1 GoGirl. Bush is trying to be Ronald Reagan on defense and LBJ on domestic spending. The Prescription Bill that was passed earlier was a hidious piece of legislation that our children will be paying for. I wish EVERYONE in Congress (left, right, middle) would take more ownership over fiscal responsibility and our money.

You had me going until option 2... "substantive connection between Al-Qaeda and Saddam." This has been proven over and over again. If you put down the NY Times for one nano-second, you might see the evidence. Sadaam and his govt. collaborated with Al-Qaeda in the past. Sadaam has paid for money to the families of terriorists. Numerous Al-Qaeda associates have taken refuge in Iraq over the last decade. (One of the WTC '93 bombers fled to Baghdad.) Iraq supported Al-Qaeda members fleeing Afghanistan after our invasion there. Bin Laden's # 2 man has supposedly conducting terrorist training camps in Iraq. What more evidence do you want?

The question yet answered: Was Sadaam involved with 9/11? The jury is still out on this one.

Islamic terriorists just butchered another American. But I'm sure we will hear and see more frat party military pictures from a few folks at Abu-Ghraib prison from the fair and balanced media. Anything to discredit our efforts over in Iraq and the current resident of the 1600 Penn. Ave. The double standard from our press these days is over the top.

where's my "he doesn't look like a corpse" option??

I hope this is a parody on the other poll....but I don't see it. The other poll did have the "he's not Bush" option and that appears to be the reasoning with my family liberal members. This sounds like a typical liberal crybaby rant.

I'm still undecided to my vote....depends if Kerry can pull the ace out of the hat with a strong running mate. But unless Lieberman changes his mind, I doubt I will either

Ha ha! Good one! Now, can she ask you to put down your Republican Party handout?

sonnylax wrote:

And we're to assume that the following is proof?

Quote:
Sadaam and his govt. collaborated with Al-Qaeda in the past.

By "collaborated" you mean exactly what? Is this "collaboration" just alleged or can you provide proof? Document it, please.

Quote:
Sadaam has paid for money to the families of terriorists.

Which terrorists? Hezbollah suicide bombers? (Pssst, they're not al-Qaida.) I sure would like to see a cancelled check...receipt? Yes, published reports have informed us that Sa - two "d's" - am has given money to the families of suicide bombers. I believe it. Of course, maybe I read it in the NYT. Guess it may be bogus. They've been bogus before.

Quote:
Numerous Al-Qaeda associates have taken refuge in Iraq over the last decade.

Associates? Who are they? And if they took refuge in Iraq, well, that simply must mean that they were invited, right? Definitely a connection between Hussein and al-Qaida.

Quote:
(One of the WTC '93 bombers fled to Baghdad.)

This would mean something if you'd allege that Sa - two "d's" - am Hussein had sent a plane ticket.

Quote:
Iraq supported Al-Qaeda members fleeing Afghanistan after our invasion there.

Really? And you know this because....?

Quote:
Bin Laden's # 2 man has supposedly conducting terrorist training camps in Iraq.

Aha, here we have it all....supposedly. Ain't that just perfect.

Quote:
What more evidence do you want?

Hey, as long as we can suppose things, we've got all the "proof" that we need.

Quote:
The question yet answered: Was Sadaam involved with 9/11? The jury is still out on this one.

A nice, safe, hedging-of-the-bet statement. Which jury? The one which has proven everything above?

Quote:
Islamic terriorists just butchered another American.

You know, you really should have made that "al-Qaida" terrorists (or terriorists, whichever). It's been admitted by al-Qaida that four of their own were killed. And that's a good thing. But because I am writing this on Sunday, I have the benefit of having the knowledge from today's news....this is from the AP...."The U.S. military stepped up its campaign against militant leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, launching an airstrike Saturday that pulverized a suspected hideout in Fallujah. At least 16 people were killed and several houses in the residential neighborhood were wrecked." Also in the report it was mentioned that the deaths included women and children. Oh, no. They weren't butchered. They were precision air struck.

Quote:
But I'm sure we will hear and see more frat party military pictures from a few folks at Abu-Ghraib prison from the fair and balanced media.

Is that what it is over there? A frat party? You know, I've been to some frat parties. But at absolutely none of them was anyone beaten...to death. And should we suppose that when that media reports something that you agree with, it truly is fair and balanced? Better yet, tell us where you get the information (newspaper, radio, television) that we can use to verify your proofs. Seriously.

I ran a race with him last weekend. (okay, so they dropped him in at the very begining, he finished WAY before me, and I never saw him on the course, but still... He was high 5ing every one at the finish line, not that I recognized him. My coach had to tell me he was there. I did get to go meet him and he signed my bid. He is in great shape. Those suits we see him in on TV don't do him justice.
