was looking for my winter answer...I pull out of the street parking spot, get out of the car and mark my shoveled out space with a barrel and then drive away, come home stop, move the barrel, and then back in...ahhhh city living in Boston with snow on the ground!!

At my current apartment, I drive over the sidewalk so there is no need to back in. Just get in the car and leave also. I do have a tendency to back in if the sidewalk is blocked. Just about all other places, I back out to leave.

Very boring...pull in & back out.
Now if I drive dh's new truck it's...
pull in...move forward a bit
reverse...pull in a little more
reverse again...pull in a little more
reverse yet again ...pull in for the final time!
I cannot park that truck!
I'd rather take the last spot in the parking lot than to park between two other vehicles!

When you drive a 20 yr old 3/4 ton 4x4 with some battle scars you can park wherever you want and however you want. People won't park next to it in their expensive mini-vans and sport-utes. And they always give me the benefit of the doubt at stop signs.....

doesn't anyone else do the pull through in a parking lot? even if it means you drive out the "wrong" way -- i'm still a pullerthrougher.

I pull into a parking spot and back out of it.
I back into my driveway and pull out. I do this because I used to park at the bottom of a hill and had a narrow space and about 5 feet to get a running start in the winter.

Driveway, I pull in and drive out! (Ihave a turn around spot opposite the gargage door!
Parking Lots: It depends on how crowded the lot is.
