Whenever we go to the pumpkin farm to pick a few, we put 'em on the front step. Since it was last weekend, we put them up already. Pretty early, and if they go bad, we've got back-ups from the IL's garden.
That's about it though. Are street stinks for trick or treaters. Never understood why. We don't even stay home to greet them, since the few years we were around we got no more than 3-4 kids.

If putting out bags of Halloween candy on the counter is considered decorating, then right about today.

I guess I should answer my own question.
The decorations are up. We don't have a lot of outdoor decorations for this holiday. I would love to get some more things to put outside but it isnt in the budget this year.
We will get the pumpkins in about 2 weeks and finally cut and gut those on the Sunday before.

Did it last week. No rule, just when it "feels" like Halloween weather (I guess that would be autumn).
My kids are 5 and 3, so I can't get away with skipping holidays anymore.

I can't use the weather down here, otherwise I would be putting up my Halloween Decorations in December or January!

We will usually work on some cornstalks, haybales and pumpkins in the next week.
The decorations for trick or treat won't be put up until just the day before.
This year is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
YEAH!! This year Trick or Treat and the Halloween parties we are going to are not on the same day, so we won't have to try and tear everything down before we go out.

I.WANT.PICTURES!
Our family costume theme was The Wizard of Oz and the girlie wants to be Dorothy. I can't find an old prom dress to make into Glenda's dress
