It's a huge pain, because the few single girls I know... well, I can see why they are single. It's like the saying goes, if they're worth dating... someone's already dating them.

Welcome to my world Mech. Welcome to my world. It only gets worse as you get older. Smile

P.S. I would be wary of dating someone immediately post-breakup. (Your breakup or their breakup.) My experience with "bounce back relationships" has not been good.

All I have to say is that I feel old after looking at your profile! I was graduating from high school when you were born!

Man I guess I'm in trouble. I wouldn't go throwing that saying around.....

It sounds to me like you have made up your mind and you aren't really looking for advice.

I'll have to say though that if this is the route you will go you will most likely loose your friend and will have no chance what so ever. Trust me I know. If she is intersted in you she will come to you. If you try to 'steal her away' and she is not interested she will only run from you not to you!

I'm not saying it always applies, but with everyone I know, it's a pretty good rule.

I'm really not looking for advice. Just wanting opinions. I'm not really in the situation now, but it happens so frequently it's worth getting opinions. And if I lose her as a friend, I don't think that's so bad. I'm really not out to make new friends. Every friend I have that is a girl is either someone that I've dated, or that I've wanted to date but they didn't want to date me. And that doesn't make for great friendships.

Didn't mean to bump you out... I appreciate the input. The more, the merrier.

LOL

i have new wallpaper on my computer now!

As for 'waiting'...yes, it can work. My gal dated a good friend of mine for years...I just patiently waited...and waited...and then nabbed her when I got the opportunity!
