Do you (or your S.O.) plan meals weekly? I have NEVER done it but I think I am going to start. I'm tired of just eating the fastest thing I can find in my pantry/fridge. Thankfully I don't typically have a lot of junk food sitting around but I'm getting a little tired of ramen noodles and/or peanut butter sandwiches.

I do on the weekends, during the week, the Mrs takes care of the meals. She does the grocery shopping so she has an idea of what she is going to make during the weekend

My SO could care less about meal planning. typical dialogue goes like - what's for dinner ? I don't know I didn't pull anything out of the freezer.
Fortunately I am the creative sort on this so I can get a nice meal going in a few minutes.

I don't plan weekly meals no. We always have stuff in the freezer to take out to make a decent meal though but lots of time time don't allow it. Many nights DH isn't home till after 5:30 and me not till at least that and sometimes more than an hour later. And since we both get up at 3:50 am daily the last thing I wanna do is spend another hour or so cooking. I'm usually ready to eat my own arm off while preparing dinner as it is. It sounds like a good idea though, meal planning.

No, but I get the feeling its a very common malady. (NO planning) Heck I would not mind even if it was on a day to day basis.

most are planned in the morning. I do a majority of the cooking so it is what ever I feel like. Fortunately, Robin and I agree on just about everything that I make.
Rarely if ever are they planned in advance.

I roughly plan out what we'll have for the week and kind stick with that. I hate the planning part of eating. The shopping and cooking parts are fine.

I go through stages of doing it and not. Right now I'm in a major non-planning stage and barely cook it seems like. I just don't feel like it.
But it really is a good thing. When I do it, I try to sit down Sunday, look through recipes, add what I need to my list and then shop. It really is nice to know what the week will entail and what to cook each night, and to have everything I need on hand.

There are some things LC will fix if it's the week of a race (the pasta thing), or not fix (for, well, you know why). She also talks to me about what to fix or get from the grocery store, so I've got good ideas as to what she'll make. Much of the time, but not always.

We tend to buy things that would "go together" for meals when we shop. Then it's usually a daily thing. I'll ask him the night before and then take whatever out of the freezer in the morning. Sometimes we just decide on the way home from work.

my lunches and breakfasts are pre-made. Sunday evening i cook up a large batch of a couple types of meals. Each one will be 4-7 meals times 2. so 8-14 meals made at once and toss them in the freezer. Breakfast is made weekly as well on Sunday and frozen. a High protein fruit smoothie.
Dinners for me though are quick meals unplanned.

some days are planned, some days aren't.
the days that aren't planned, we have plenty of good stuff in the fridge and freezer and pantry where it's not a problem to do something up pretty quick though....if there's not something there to do quick, we'll order out.
