(Announcement) My cellular phone has totally gone out. Screen lights up when it goes on, but nothing shows. No characters of any sort, just a blank screen. I've had this for a few years (it's served me well) so I think it's going to be put down. So if you have my cell #, don't try and call!(/Announcement)

In light of the above, what's a good quality phone that doesn't cost an arm and a leg? I do use text messaging, I don't need the camera, and I don't use it all that much.

(for the record, the old phone is a Panasonic, and our provider is AT & T Wireless)

Well if your phone service was Verizon, I could have given you a new phone for free.... It's not like I don't have at least three in my spare stuff drawer...

Kyocera and Motorola have good reputations.

Talk to the Shelf Man...he's the expert on all things cellular..

Check with ATT wireless about what phones they have available. You're the best judge of what you want and need.
You could mention you'd like to "upgrade" and if they can't come up with a good deal you may have to change carriers. (By the new law, you can keep your old number)

I'd go to verizon too. My partner is a verizon wireless dealer, I'll ask him what's new and good. You can prolly get a free phone with new service or close to free.

1800mobiles (www1800mobiles)

has some sweet deals, and prompt shipping and we've never had a problem with them. We've ordered at least 6 phones from them.

I've heard bad things about motorola.

I had a samsung that crapped out on me after a couple years.

My LG has served me well thusfar, but isn't all that old.

I am happy with my Samsung phone. I have Verizon as well. I get a new phone every two years, as part of my contract
