The 7th Annual Double Trouble 15K & 30K Trail Run

Anybody think this looks interesting? What about just meeting up one evening?

I'm considering the drive out. I figure I can stop and see some friends in the Pittsburg area on Friday night and Saturday morning and then maybe meet some of the Philly crew Saturday night. Race Sunday, party Sunday night, drive back on Monday. I don't have class until Tuesday.

This is a GREAT race! I know several people who have done it. Challenging but not impossible and not as bad as the Halfwit Half although I think some of it is on similar ground. I ran part of the course prior to the race a couple years ago with a friend who was marking it out for the race director but then ended up getting injured and couldn't actually do it. Sad

I'd definitely be up for a gathering, it isn't terribly far from where I live at all.

I signed up for the Double Trouble based solely on that crazy ass description. Hopefully I won't be too banged up from the sprint tri the day before. If you come out PM me - I'd be up for a get together Saturday night. Especially because visitors buy the first round. Cool

We would make a road trip up to that area for a gathering.

Ok. I was kidding. I could buy first round of whatever is reasonable.

And the ruling is:

I'm GOING! I think I'll get into Pittsburg about 8pm Pittsburg time Friday night. I should be in Philly around 1pm on Saturday. I'm staying at the Residence Inn in Berwyn on Saturday and Sunday nights.

Ok. So now for my questions for the resident experts on the area:
1) How much is the toll going to be from Pittsburg to Philly?
2) For the Pittsburg crew:
a) Are we meeting Friday night?
b) Where at?
3) For the Philly crew:
a) Where are we meeting?

Depends on where you get off and on. Use this calculator.

I am going to bail on this event. My oldest is going to a birthday party that afternoon, so I will be unable to make it.

What afternoon? I'm going to be in town two nights (Saturday and Sunday).

For Saturday and Sunday nights, I'm staying in Wayne. I'm getting a great deal on a hotel there (about 70% off!).

Ooh, that is real close to where I live, there are a lot of good places we can go!!! Wayne is right near King of Prussia and there's a Kildare's pub right by the mall like the one we go to in West Chester. Great food, good beer......I hear the water's good too Wink

How does that sound to everyone?
