My second time running this race located in N.E. Ohio in Roughausen's neighborhood. Sara was kind enough to allow me to park at her place and I also got to meet her sister. These two young ladies are both damn fast.

Did the usual pre-race bs'ing, stretching and warm up stuff. The weather was pretty near ideal at about 68 degs, low humidity and cloudy with some wind. Race proceeds benefit local schools and that is a good thing.

We mosied on down to the starting line at about 7:20 and nearly got our ears blown off by the loudspeaker system when the RD began his spiel. Blahitty blah blah here's the mayor for another minutes of blah blah and the race is off.

I'll post my mile splits but they are pretty much useless as I believe they just placed the mile markers randomly. I felt my pace was consistent thru the race, my splits weren't.

Mile 1 - 7:06
Mile 2 - 6:03 Mad that one was waaaaay off
Mile 3 - 7:24
Mile 4 - 7:02
Mile 5 - 7:30
Mile 6 - 7:48
Mile 7 - 7:25
Mile 8 - 6:54
Mile 9 - 7:51
Mile 10 - 6:26

Like I said.... mile markers werent' placed with the utmost in accuracy. Final time was 1:11:30 for a 7:09 pace and a PR since last years time was 1:12:19. I have no complaints this week. 9th out of 45 in AG.

A good race, a good time and as usual, it was nice meeting up with the always smiling Roughausen and the additional bonus of meeting her sister was cool too.

It's all relative.... compared to me you are young.... compared to most of the women in the field you were quite fast!
