Yes...my buttons are pushed. God help the insurance adjustor.... |
Isn't 20-yrs old make it a 'classic'? There's gotta be some kind of additional value there?
That sucks if they only give a blue book few hundred bucks

I'd guess it would have more value for the fact it was low mileage than its age. I'm not seeing an '86 Honda Civic as a classic.

1986 was a VERY good year | For cars, too, if memory serves me correct.

so sorry MW. but glad you are OK, how scary for you.
i learned to drive in the 70s, my mom taught me. she almost used to piss me off when she'd say "teenage girls are the worst drivers out there -- watch out for your peers" and they didn't even have cell phones!
some things never change.
glad you're ok. really.

MW
glad you're okay. Did you make a complete statement?
I was in a 5 car pile up as a passenger. We were number 4. We had stopped in time, but then car 5 pushed us into car 3. We were in a hurry and police said we could leave as car 3 didn't get damage from the rear and my friend said she didn't care about the ding in her rear from car 5.
I told her that I wanted to make a quick statement as she did have me as a witness. Anyway, it was a good thing. Car #2 was a jag and was severely damaged and car #3 had no insurance. So car#2 insurance company was trying to claim that #4 (us) slammed into #3 had a high speed and it was this second impact that caused the damage to car #2.

Wow. That sucketh. I am glad you are ok.
Aire Jr doesn't drive yet.
He will not drive if his grades aren't good. He's also been told that if I ever catch him using the phone while driving, he's lost his car privileges.
On the freeway in Cali a numbf*888 actually had a laptop open and in use while he was driving.

I had never seen that before, it made me HOT!
I remember one little teenaged chick had a broken arm, a cellphone, was painting her nails all while driving.
Her dash and the back of the car all had little stone figurines glued/taped down. (In an accident those would become projectiles.)

Libby is still a couple years from driving (thank God) but I am CONSTANTLY talking to all 3 kids about how to be safe drivers. Seriously, every time I see some idiot on the road, I use it as a teaching moment.
I'm glad you are ok. Hope the little old lady is too.

they don't change!!! I still think my peers are the worst!! I "know" I'm bad and don't even talk to my passengers. Moms picking up kids to and from school are VERY bad. How can you not know the speed limit in a school zone when you just dropped yours off?

(it wouldn't surprise me if some of 'em actually use that reasoning )
