Does the school/firehouse/town hall where you live do pancake breakfast?
We have several in the area. The ones at Burton Firestation and Berkshire High are the best. We just got back. The whole family (all 27 members) meet at 1:00 every Sunday in March every year.
Good times.

Our firehouse does a breakfast with Santa every year. All the brothers and sisters and kids get together with Grandpa and Santa.
Real nice time

We used to have Men's Lentin Breakfast during Lent (?) every year when I was a kid in my home town. Every Tuesday (?) morning, a different church would host them.

I really think it drew more people (and from that to the services) than Christmas Eve did.
Local schools and churches do pancake breakfasts as fund-raisers (Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts are most common organizations to hold these). Never get me near an all-you-can-eat one - it'll guarantee that they'll lose money!

not any more besides at Greg's firehouse.
People just do not volunteer and the breakfasts just do not make much money. Equipment is far too expensive for these fundraisers to even make a dent.

Sometimes, we see them here, but they are usually in conjunction with a festival that covers a couple of days.

Wobegon Civil Air Patrol puts one on Father's Day and local pilots have plane rides. Combine that with a good long morning run and the carbo load pancake feed and it's the perfect dad's day treat in my book

We have a couple out here too, mostly the local firehouses and I think the Lions Club does one as a fundraiser in the spring. I love that stuff....community gatherings like those are too few on the east coast, IMHO. And we don't have enough festivally stuff either. Midwest, here I come!!!

There is a small town race out here that has a pancake breakfast after their annual 5k/10k race. This is a supah small town (think town hall, gas station, feed store, and school), but they take great pride in their race. They go all out for the pancake breakfast. Good times, indeed.

No pancake breakfast, but the Moose lodge does a really nice fresh fish fry on Fridays, and a steak dinner on Saturdays. I don't think a breakfast concept would work down here except for the visitors. Most people are either out on their boats fishing or still in bed recovering.
