Isn't that bizarre! It's good that no one got killed or that there were no more injuries.
What's wild is that when this happens (a bridge gets shut down) there is literally no way to get around (in this case, the Keys from Mile Marker 71 down to 0 are cut off.) No one is getting out of there, and no one is getting in. Two of my co-workers can't get to work today because of this.
We got stuck once for nearly three hours as a result of an accident back in November. Always bring a book and/ or a fishing pole with you when you drive any distance in the Keys.

As a former South Florida resident, I'm well aware of what happens when a bridge gets shut down in the Keys. One way in, One way out. At least its a nice place to kill time if you do get stuck.
