Hey everyone!!!

As you all know, my goal this morning was a sub-23 race. Here's my extended race report:

Foxtrot 5K in Omro

Weather was fine...cloudy, abit windy and 50 degrees....

First mile I clocked in at 7:09 and I was surprised/angry at myself for starting too fast. I had a feeling that I would pay for it and was already telling myself, 'maybe next race, doofus?' Evil or Very Mad At mile 2, a fellow runner joined my side and everytime he got in front of me he kept saying "Come on man! stick with me!" So I did...and I even passed him in the final stretch, and by doing so, I earned myself a bronze in my age group!!! (21-30). bonus! Mr. Green

So here I was aiming for a sub 23 and this morning I ran past the finish line with a time of 22:12! ! !

I'm so happy with myself I could just hug me and never let go!

I'm not sure what I've been totally doing differently but I seem to be blowin up my PRs by leaps and bounds...I think my new weight lifting program has definitely been a factor.

So Yahoo for me! Wink

joel

EDIT: I just realized that I beat my old high school PR this morning! Fubby cuz we was just talkin bout dat, no?

Thanks everyone...It's been almost 7 hours since the race and I'm as giddy as a school boy at 2:59pm...of, course I'm slammin down the coffee like crazy so that's not helping anything...

My wonderful wife got up early with me to go to the race, so she's taking an afternoon nap(literally speaking this time)...

Congrats yourself on the pretty UBB-ing, PH.
