Tornados have hit Wilmington, DE airport area and somewhere in Cherry Hill, NJ. Our whole region is under tornado watch from now til 9PM so everyone travel safely and BE CAREFUL! 
Our streets here in Montco are flooded as hell. Driving home without a gas guzzling SUV is going to suck. Elkid, if you have school tonight you might wanna leave early if you're still there.....

I was supposed to run last night but when I saw the lightning bagged it. At 530 all was well. By 615 I was screaming into the phone at The Paramedic that water was rushing into our basement, which meant the garage had already filled with water. I can't open the garage door to let it out because it's too heavy, so I could only watch it come in. The pool overflowed, too, making matters worse as everything drains into one spot: you guessed it, right in front of the garage. All told we got 7" in the basement, and it went all the way to the back of the garage. Our sun porch also got a little drenched. Thank god it didn't come in through the back door and flood the utility room. 'Twas a fun night Chez Partay. But since I had so much energy but couldn't run it out, I cleaned my entire kitchen and made a huge batch of my infamous arrabiata sauce. After drying us out for 2 hours hubby loved it over pasta with a side of Texas toast. Though he almost got punched in the eye when he said, "Wow, you haven't cooked a dinner since what, May?"

Took me an hour and forty minutes to get home last night on a usually 40 minute trip. ICK. I think every creek in Montgomery County overflowed. Fortunately we don't have a basement - for just this reason do I never want one, I'll take my attic, thank you - so other than being absolutely soaked when I got home, it wasn't too bad. Made REAL hot chocolate last night, the kind you make on the stove with cocoa, sugar and milk in a pot....YUMMMMY!!!! It's officially FALL today, it's chilly, just the way I like it! WOO HOO!!
 Good riddance, summer!
