There was some sort of accident involving a pet or small child (conflicting reports) and the driver of the car that hit the pet/small child had a heart attack.

I can still hear the news helicopters outside buzzing. Sad

I'll post a link when I can find one.

Maybe...I don't really need one. Sounds like no good can come of this stuff.

And that makes it sound like there's more to this than meets the eye.

Girl, 5, struck by SUV

Published on: 06/09/05

A 5-year-old girl was airlifted to a hospital after being struck by an SUV Wednesday near Snellville, police said.

At about 4:30 p.m., the girl and her two older brothers were walking on two-lane Grayson Highway toward her home in Falcon Ridge subdivision. One brother, 12, darted across the road where there was no intersection or crosswalk, said Officer Darren Moloney, Gwinnett police spokesman.

The 5-year-old followed, and was struck by a Honda SUV. The driver's name was not immediately released.

The injured girl was taken by helicopter to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston. Wednesday night, she was in pediatric intensive care in critical condition.

The driver was cooperating with police, Moloney said.

That's the subdivision that I live in. I don't know who that could have been. Sad

And they had choppers out there? Here they'll only do that if the driver got pulled from his car and was getting beaten by onlookers.

Wow! Sad

We have to (all the neighbors) yell at the bastage that lives next door to slow down all the time. She has let it be known that she hates children and if they're in her way...

I'm at the end of a cul-de-sak. She has the last house! Why are you accelerating??? Thankfully the 15 kids that live here and play know how to move to the side of the street and let her speed into her driveway.

I'd love to catch that gopher and put it in her yard!!! burning mad

Girl struck in traffic will recover
John Ghirardini - Staff
Friday, June 10, 2005

A 5-year-old girl struck by an SUV in Grayson on Wednesday is expected to recover from her injuries, police said Thursday.

The child was still in intensive care at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston on Thursday night, but her most severe injury apparently was a broken leg, said Officer Darren Moloney, Gwinnett police spokesman.

The unidentified child was struck by a Honda SUV on Grayson Parkway about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday as she followed her brother across the road to the entrance of the Falcon Ridge subdivision, police said.

The driver of the SUV was identified as Catherine Doles Cook, 30, of Snellville, according to police.

Police are awaiting results of a blood test, to which Cook consented, Moloney said, but do not anticipate filing charges against her.

I disagree. Children should be outlawed. They consume way more resources than SUVs.
